We offer trophy whitetail deer and wild boar hunts from August 15th through January 1st. We also have a special discount rate of $225 per day / $595 for 3 days during September and December.
All game is truly wild at Island Plantation. There are no fences restricting the movement of animals on our land. Official state surveys demonstrate the buck to doe ratio to be about one buck for every 1.8 does.
Island Plantation's management techniques are state-of-the-art. Hundreds of acres planted in game food plots guarantee plenty of available food for game. In areas not under general farming, we plant peas and rye. The more food available, the greater accumulation of deer.
All stands have been erected at proven high performance locations. Spots where those big 8 to 12 point trophies and 400 to 600 pound boars are likely to frequent. Island Plantation stands have also been constructed with hunter comfort, safety, and concealment in mind. Our stands are made of steel or wood frame, either free standing or leaners. All sides are covered with camouflage and there is a seat in the middle for your favorite cushion.
We strongly recommend the minimum of a three day hunt for a better chance to bag that trophy buck and/or boar. However, we can gladly accommodate longer or shorter hunts.

You are allowed three (3) kills per day. You can take two (2) deer per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Plus, you may take one hog per day. Doe tags are available at no additional charge from September 15th through January 1st. One doe tag is available for each 3-day hunt.
Island Plantation Deer Hunting Rules
- Bucks must have one visible tine that is at least three inches or longer. Does must weigh at least 75 pounds. Button Bucks are not considered antlerless deer.
- We have two sittings per day, 1 in the morning and one in the evening. You can harvest one deer per sitting. Plus, you may take one hog per day.
- The fine for shooting an illegal deer (including button bucks) is $200.
- Free Kill Exceptions:(During Season) Fox, Bobcat, and Coyote
- All guns must be unloaded unless you are in your stand.
- Safty belts must be worn at all times while you are in your stand.
- All hunters are required to have a valid South Carolina hunting license. Anyone born after 1979 must have a valid Hunters Safety Course ID in order to be issued a South Carolina hunting license. For your convenience, hunting licenses are available here at Island Plantation.
